  • Command prompt can access both ADB and Fastboot from any directory.

  • All the required drivers will be installed on to the system, you do not need to go into directories to install manually.

  • According to your system structure, it will decide automatically whether it should install 32-bit or 64-bit drivers.

  • Windows 8.1 users should install the KB2917929 update.

Installation tutorial for ADB installer

  • First of all you should download ADB installer v1.4.2 on to your PC.

  • When the download completed, you can open the setup by clicking on adb-setup-1.4.2.exe file. It will open the 15 seconds ADB Installer v1.4.2 on your PC desktop.

  • It will ask you, “Do you want to install ADB and Fastboot? (Y/N)”. Press “Y” key on your keyboard to proceed.

  • Now, it will ask you, “Install ADB system-wide? (Y/N)” Again press “Y” key to proceed.

  • You will see a message as “Installing ADB and Fastboot … (system-wide), 4 file(s) copied.”

  • Again it will ask you, “Do you want to install device drivers? (Y/N)”. Again press “Y” key to proceed.

  • Then the final set up will open up on your PC desktop. You have to click on “Next” button to proceed.

  • When it completed the installation, click on “Finish” button to exit from the ADB installer setup.
